Martin Van Buren (Dec 5, 1782 - July 24, 1862) was the eighth President to steer the ship of the United States of America. He was in office from March 4, 1833 to March 4, 1837. His tenure as President of the United States of America was smeared heavily by an avalanche of economic hardship, most prominent of those years was the panic of 1837. Martin Van Buren was nicknamed Martin Van Ruin by his political opponents. As anticipated, he was voted out of office after serving a single term as the President of GOD'S own state. He outlived his four predecessors before he kissed the sand of mortality and strayed away to the land of ''The Forgotten''
