John Adams (1735-1826) was one of the founding fathers of the United States of America. He was sworn in as the second President of the United States on March 4, 1797. His tenure ended on March 4, 801. President John Adams was a Harvard University trained lawyer, his son John Quincy Adams became the sixth president of the United States.
